This ductile bioplastic is designed for thermoforming and sheet extrusion applications, offering an extended food contact certification compared to Bio-Flex® F 6611. With a biobased carbon content of over 70%, it provides a GMO-free, pearlescent finish and a comfortable haptic feel. The material features a high heat distortion temperature of up to 130°C with appropriate processing, making it suitable for food trays and similar applications. It supports cast film extrusion and thermoforming with a maximum thickness of 96 µm.

Bio-Flex® S 7514 is a comparatively rigid thermoplastic material with very good impact properties. Due to its good flowability, S 7514 is also suitable for use in multi-cavity molds and for the production of molded parts with long flow paths. In addition, Bio-Flex® S 7514 is suitable for utility or packaging articles with hot filling or use at elevated temperatures. Bio-Flex® S 7514 is also approved for contact with food.

Bio-Flex® S 7711 is characterized by its good heat resistance and temperature stability. Due to its good elasticity combined with high rigidity and strength, S 7711 is particularly suitable for thin-walled yet stable thermoformed parts. The highest elongation at break compared to the type family allows large deformations with good recovery properties at the same time. Bio-Flex® S 7711 is also approved for contact with food.

Bio-Flex Home Compost FX1821

Bio-Flex® FX 1821 is a partly bio-based, home-compostable polymer compound designed for blown film applications requiring high strength. Depending on thickness, films produced from this material range from opaque to cream-colored. It is approved for food contact and certified home-compostable according to EN 13432 by TÜV Austria's OK Compost HOME program.

This biodegradable and home compostable polymer compound is designed for blown film applications. It is certified as home compostable under EN 13432 (at ambient temperature) with a maximum thickness of 32 µm. The opaque grades offer high tear resistance and toughness, making them suitable for thin-walled applications. Customer pilot tests have demonstrated that bag wall thickness can be reduced to as low as 8 µm.

It combines the PE properties of very good translucency, very good flow properties and a predominantly organic content, which are not common in injection molding.
